We are legally certified to accept medical waste products which may contain residual body fluids. We recommend any company with precious metals bearing medical waste avoid downstream liability by sending such material to a certified refiner with legally trained personnel.
Directly melt able materials such as alloys, crowns, bench sweeps, etc. are mixed with the precise amount of flux, then melted and cast into a homogenous ingot or bar. The slag is then carefully examined to verify no precious metals have been left behind. Two samples are then taken and sent to our Laboratory where our Chemists perform duplicate fire assays to determine the gold, silver, palladium and platinum content of your material.
Material destined for incineration such as filters, crucibles, plaster, dental and investment powders will be incinerated and then milled into a fine powder for assaying. The powder is sifted and samples taken and sent to our Laboratory for fire assaying for precious metals content.
We are always happy to any questions you may have regarding the processing of your material.
